Finishing Your Requirements
All degree and major requirements must be completed by the end of the semester in which you are graduating. If you do not complete your requirements as planned, you must apply for a new graduation semester and pay graduation fee(s) for the new application.
Degree Posted on Your Transcript
After the semester has finished, grades are processed, and all requirements are verified as met, your degree will be posted to your transcript. Students who have pre-ordered transcripts to be sent after their degree will be reviewed first to have their degrees posted. Once your degree is posted you can view it on your Student Profile by selecting Unofficial Transcript. All degrees are posted within six weeks after the semester ends.
Transfer Credit
If you are using transfer credit to complete your degree requirements, you must have an official transcript from that institution sent to the Office of the Registrar as soon as your grades are available. All transcripts must be received within five weeks after the end of the graduation semester in order for your degree to be awarded.
Incomplete Grades
- Ensure all incomplete grades are resolved before graduation.
- Outstanding incompletes with reversion grades sufficient to satisfy degree requirements will automatically be reverted to allow graduation. If the reversion grade is insufficient for graduation, you will be notified.
Independent Study Grades
All coursework must be received by the Independent Study in Idaho office at least one month before the last day of the semester. If the course you are taking is not offered and recorded by the University of Idaho, you will need to arrange for an official transcript from that institution be sent to the Office of the Registrar as soon as your grade is posted to your transcript. All transcripts must be received within five weeks after the end of the graduation semester in order for your degree to be awarded.
