Well Space
Research shows that our physical environment impacts our overall health and wellness. To provide a physical space where students can relax, de-stress, and find health information, Vandal Health Education has created the Well Space.
Well Space FAQ
The Well Space is a space all students can use to relax, find health information, study, and de-stress. It is designed with well-being in mind and has many de-stress resources available for students.
The Well Space is located in the Student Recreation Center — through the main doors directly to your left.
Weekday hours are generally Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
During weekly hours, no appointment is necessary to visit the Well Space. Students are invited to drop by as their schedules allow!
The Well Space may be closed during the above times if Vandal Health Education is involved in events or outreach around campus. Contact us to request a visit outside of the regularly scheduled hours.
Visit the Well Space to:
- Get connected to on-campus and community health resources
- Get help finding a health service provider
- Obtain health information
- Pick up health education materials
- Talk to a peer health educator
- Work on a health project
- Request a presentation
- Get free condoms
The Well Space combines physical space designed with well-being in mind with the opportunity to practice stress management strategies. Features and resources include:
- Water feature
- Essential oil diffuser
- Comfortable couch
- Coloring
- Kinetic sand
- Orbeez
- Puzzles and games
- Tea
- Snacks
- Journaling
Whatever your health needs might be, peer health educators are available in the Well Space to answer any of your health questions and point you in the right direction to get the health services that you need.
