Curriculum, Course and Program Changes
The Office of the Provost and Executive Vice President is responsible for obtaining appropriate approval and/or providing notification for academic actions to the Idaho State Board of Education, the Idaho State Department of Education and the university’s regional accrediting body, the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. In conjunction, the Registrar’s Office is responsible for curricular requirements and reporting and for overseeing the University Curriculum Committee. Together these two offices manage the internal process for curricular and program changes and required external reporting.
The university goes through an annual planning process with the Idaho State Board of Education to update and list new proposed programs or changes to programs. The list is approved each year in August and is a road map for processing requests. View the current three-year plan. For more information, please confer with your associate dean.
To identify the group a request belongs to, please expand each group below for the list AND review Curricular Proposal Crosswalk and Timelines. Additional information associated for each group can also be found on the University Curriculum Committee website.
