Trap Shooting Club
The Trap Shooting Club participates in competitive and recreational shooting. Disciplines include trap singles, trap doubles, skeet, skeet doubles, super sporting and sporting clays.
Club members participate at local gun clubs including the Troy Deary Gun Club, Genesee Trap and Skeet and Colton Gun Club, as part of the Camas Prairie 10-week league and for practice. The club also sends members to local and regional shoots as well as ACUI/SCTP regional and national competitions.
University of Idaho students are welcome to participate, regardless of skill level; however, prior shotgun shooting experience and knowledge of safe firearms handling is required. Completion of a Hunters' Education program is highly encouraged. Team members are required to have their own 12-gauge shotgun capable of shooting 2 shells in succession (O/U, semi-auto or pump). Firearms can be stored securely on the U of I campus by calling 208-882-COPS(2677).
Note: Firearm/s must be in a case with a trigger lock installed for storage on campus. Club dues are $200 per semester.
