Citizenship Day Naturalization Workshop

Every year since 2022, the Immigration Clinic has co-sponsored a “Citizenship Day” Naturalization Workshop at the law school in Boise. Other sponsoring organizations include the Idaho Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, Catholic Charities, Familias Unidas, International Rescue Committee, and the Diversity Section of the Idaho State Bar. Clinic students and other volunteers—many of them alumni of U of I and the immigration clinic--meet with community members to help them prepare naturalization applications to become citizens of the United States. This year, the workshop helped about thirty individuals prepare their naturalization applications. The event is a great opportunity to help the local community and network with local practitioners.
