Kristi Running is an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Idaho College of Law where she teaches courses in legal writing and academic success. Professor Running also served as Associate Dean of Students from 2020-2022. Prior to joining the College of Law in 2012, Professor Running practiced with the Boise law firm of Elam & Burke in the areas of workers' compensation, insurance defense, and general civil litigation; and served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Roger Burdick of the Idaho Supreme Court. Professor Running is a graduate of the University of Idaho College of Law. During her law study she served as Executive Editor of the Idaho Law Review and President of the International Law Students Association. She also received the Service with Distinction Pro Bono Award for her work with the Cambodian Ministry of Women's Affairs in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Professor Running came to the University of Idaho from the College of Idaho, where she received her baccalaureate degree summa cum laude in Business/International Political Economy and History. Outside of teaching, Professor Running enjoys spending time with her farm animals and rescue dogs, and hiking, camping, and traveling with her family.
