Sam joined the University of Idaho from the University of Washington School of Law Library, where he served as a Research Services Librarian. Sam received his B.A. in Political Science from Reed College in 2011 and his J.D. from Lewis & Clark College of Law in 2016. He has been a law librarian since 2017, when he received a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Washington. As a Reference and Instruction Librarian at the University of Idaho, Sam teaches legal research. His teaching and scholarly interests focus on information behavior, particularly the application of game design principles to legal research and its instruction. He is a member of the American Association of Law Librarians, Westpac, and the Idaho Library Association.
