Convocation/Recital Attendance (MusX 140)

MusX 140 is a recital attendance requirement for music majors and some music minors. Music majors enrolled in individual instruction are required to attend Convocation and Area Recital as part of MusX140. Music majors are also required to attend studio classes in their area of private study according to a schedule set by their private instructor. Music minors are not required to attend convocation and area recitals UNLESS it is required by their private instructor

The objectives of the course are to:

  • Expose students, through live performances, to a variety of musical genres, literature, media and interpretive styles as models for their own performance, at both professional and peer levels.
  • Provide performing experiences for music majors in studio classes, area recitals and convocation performances.
