Hearing Conservation Program
What we do to protect your hearing
The university runs a Hearing Conservation Program to monitor employees whose job activities cause them to be exposed to hazardous noise levels. The Hearing Conservation Program, administered by EHS, consists of noise surveys, training, baseline and annual hearing tests and selecting the proper hearing protection.
How you can participate
If you feel that you are exposed to high levels of noise, contact the EHS office. The Industrial Hygienist can perform a noise survey to gather information on your exposure to noise. If you are exposed to hazardous noise levels you will then participate in the Hearing Conservation Program.
